An introduction to the role of the core emotions

In my processanger training, participants often asked whether anger is based on the emotion of fear and how anger and sadness are related. This gave rise to the idea of relating the four basic emotions of JOY - FEAR - ANGER - SADNESS  to each other and clearly distinguishing them from one another.


In this book, I present the basic emotions as a coherent warning and motivation system in a completely new matrix. For the visual learners among us, I summarize the criteria and differences of all four emotions in their temporal and logical order in a single graphic.


The book is meant for anyone who wants to understand and use the basic emotions according to their structure. Perceiving and allowing emotions is not enough. Emotions all have their own specific purpose, and it is up to us to fulfill them. We can do this by stepping out of our emotional state as quickly as possible and taking action. To this end, I offer easy-to-implement impulses for each emotion.


This shall help us to reengage in a constructive way in our professional lives and private relationships.
